With possible rain and colder weather on Monday, 10s will play on Tuesday at 6:30 instead. Alabama Cable Network will be at the game to televise Finals.

All other games are on as of right now. The first game moved to 7:30 pm tonight ..some could be pushed back as well but all we know now is the first game is moved to later tonight...all other games are on schedule until we here anything different.

After the hitless campaign against the Red Sox, the Rangers 10 run rule the Owlz in 4 innings...Against the Red Sox, the opposing team pitched 43 pitches for the whole game..THis time around, the Rangers eat up 4 pitchers (one pitcher going 46 pitches in one inning alone)...whoever they threw (Owlz), they kept on hitting,...

Reds vs Giants are in a close one....last at bat, Giants with a runner on second with two outs...down 10-8 against the Reds..game will resume at 5:30 on Wednesday..

The official scorekeeper will make note of the time in the official score book. Except for World Series games, the following rest periods shall apply:
1.If a player pitches 80 or more pitches in a day, 96 hours of rest must be observed.
2.If a player pitches 60 or more pitches in a day, 72 hours of rest must be observed.
3.If a player pitches 40 or more pitches in a day, 40 hours of rest must be observed.
4.If a player pitches 20 or more pitches in a day, 24 hours of rest must be observed.
5.If a player pitches less than 20 pitches in a day, no rest is required before pitching again.
D.In World Series games, the following rest periods shall apply:
1. If a player pitches 80 or more pitches in a day, 2 hours of rest must be observed.
2. If a player pitches 60 or more pitches in a day, 40 hours of rest must be observed.
3. If a player pitches 40 or more pitches in a day, 24 hours of rest must be observed.

F.If a pitcher reaches the daily pitch limit imposed in Rule 20B above for his/her league age while facing a batter, the pitcher may continue to pitch until that batter reaches base or is put out. All pitches (including those pitched to finish the last batter) count against the weekly pitch count.
G.If a pitcher reaches the weekly pitch limit imposed in Rule 20B above for his/her league age while facing a batter, the pitcher may continue to pitch until that batter reaches base or is put out.
H.For intentional walks, the pitcher must throw the pitches to that batter. No player may be intentionally walked more than once per game.
I.The official scorekeeper will track each pitcher’s number of pitches as well as the time the pitcher completes his final pitch and physically leaves the mound in the official score book which both coaches must sign at the conclusion of each game.
J. Should a pitcher exceed the required daily or weekly pitch count limit the head coach and team may be be penalized. These penalties may include but are not limited to letter of reprimand, suspension, or game forfeiture.
Offending Coaches may appeal each penalty before the league board for final determination.

Brooks breaks record for calling timeouts in baseball

Although it took 5 years, Coach Brooks called time out for the 1434th time and beat Eduardo Sillehoutteo Jr. in Albany, NY to get the record for most timeouts by a Head Coach in Youth League games..averaging 1.22 timeuts per game (ugh..I mean half inning), he takes the feat.. Great job Brooks...
The Thunder swept their weekend schedule at Exchange. A hard fought battle against the Indians on Saturday saw them struggle at the plate but dominate on the mound for the close win. After the poor offensive showing Coach Sawyer had his team at the batting cage until after midnight post game. Although the Red Sox won against the Yankees. Jonothan Hand hit a center field shot over the fence just clearing the fence. One inning prior, Wells Dutton hits the top chain link. ...This makes Home Run # 2 in the league for this year one shy of last years record of 3 for the season..
Finally, the goose egg is off and the Mudcats finally did it..they got the W after a tough fight and a tough start of the season (dropping their first three). Mudcats, although the underdog, wins Tuesday night ..

Coach Cacace sat behind home plate at Field # 2 for 6 hours after his early morning victory over the Mets. What once was a rarity on seeing Cacace around the park, turned into a record for the longest time ever a head coach stayed at the park in one spot (6 hours 31 minutes). A few bizarre situations for 10s...After 3/24/11 (tuesday)..one team is left undefeated. With either one or two games played, only one stands undefeated. The chances of this happening are close to 285 to 1 according to stats.....

First, let us say that Coach Brooks took it like a champ and he is fine...

The make up games are announced and have been changed on Village. The only question left is what time on the 27th will the Owls/Dodgers play. Games resume last Sunday of Spring Break. Most teams will be playing 3 games this coming week and pitching will certainly be needed fast!
Reds take advantage of 10 walks...take the Yankees down 9-4.. Coach Ryer and the Yankees get a wake up call...what was thought as a lock to win most of their games this year, Yankees go down on openng day...Back to the drawing board for Torre..i mean..Ryer.. Coach Dutton coached a great first base for the Yanks..
Instead of making up opening day, the league has elected to start today (Monday) as opening week. Therefore, the 16 game schedule is now 15 and no changes or added games are going to confuse 10 year old baseball.....Vestavia Village has deleted the Sat games and the schedule now is the full schedule..basically nothing changed but deleting this past Saturday.
