All baseball games are cancelled at Exchange and Wald Park for today.  Please let your coaches know asap.   We will follow up later today about the possibility of playing tomorrow.

Vestavia Wrestling Club wins State Championship

 The VWC hosted the State youth and Middle School Championship this past weekend at Vestavia Hills High School.  The two day tournament was packed with wrestlers from across the state.  The Vestavia Club scored the most overall points for a championship win!  In the Bantam division,  Warrior Wrestling Club won the Championship; in Intermediate Division Vestavia Wrestling Club won the Championship, in Novice Division, Vestavia won again, and in Middle School Division Alabama Wrestling Club won.

Congratulations to Vestavia Wrestling Club for a great season.

State Championship Battle ahead

 This weekend marks the end of regular season wrestling with the Alabama Youth and Middle School Wrestling Championship Tournament.  The tournament is held this year at our own Vestavia Hills High School hosted by the Vestavia Wrestling Club.

If you've ever been interested in watching some young men wrestle, this would be a great opportunity to come out and watch boys ages 4-14 vie for the championship titles.

For the first time, there will be a Rookie Division State tournament for the 1st year wrestlers.

Listed below is the tournament schedule.  Come support your Rebel Wrestlers.

Admission is $5.

Friday, Feb. 25th

6:30 Wrestling begins for Middle School Division & for Rookie Division

(middle schoolers will wrestle everything except 1st/2nd place, Rookie will finish on Friday)

Saturday, Feb. 26th

8:00am: wrestling begins for Bantams (7 & unders)

10:30 am: wrestling begins for Intermediates (8-9 yr olds)

1:00 pm: wrestling begins for Novice (10-11 yr olds)

3:45-5:15 pm: Battle of the Best : this will showcase state champions from 6A high school vs. 1A-5A.

5:30: State Championship Finals Announcements

6:00 pm State Championship Finals from all divisions (except Rookie)
