The Yankees played inspired baseball behind the return of Will Pietrantoni. Although he could only swing with one hand, he gave it everything he had. The boys responded by "picking it up a notch for Will" with a season high 32 hits! Led by Ross Spina, Mathew Sherrod, Ben Tuggle, Jackson Smith and Will Steele ALL delivering 4 hits a piece. In addition, Sam Pietrantoni stepped in and went 3 for 3 in honor of his twin brother! The Yankees scored a season high 23 runs and had enough defense to survive! Next up, the Red Sox on Thursday nite.
