Notes
1
Angels ( Horta )
12-1
STEAM ROLL to FINAL FOUR vs. Tigers
2
CARDINALS ( Trotman )
9-6
Late season slide for the Cardinals, they need to turn it around this week as Seeding is slipping for the World Series.
3
NATIONALS ( Wyers )
8-6
The Nationals' bats remained hot against the Cardinals Friday night, but pitching was truly the name of the game. Hayes started out strong with 3 up-3 down against a tough Cards top of the line-up to set the tone for this battle. Wyers was called to the mound to save an inning and got the Nats out of a bases-loaded no-outs situation with no runs scored. Wyers continued to impress the crowd with his best performance of the year. Anderson once again showed his nerves of steel and closed out the game before the Cards knew what happened. Cardinals 3 Nationals 12
4
Tigers ( Pietrantoni )
8-6
TIGERS advance to FINAL FOUR with 16 - 4 win over the RANGERS. TIGERS get off to quick start with Carter Dewees making nice catch in left field in top of 1st and holding RANGERS scoreless. Howle / Will Piet lead off bottom of 1st with back / back singles and come around to score to make it 2-0 in 1st. Duckett was solid on mound and goes 2.2. Middle relievers Brae Howle / Will Piet were equally as solid coming in to close and saving Sam ( Mario Riveria ) Smith from taking the hill. TIGERS banged out 13 hits led by JB's rocket triple with Bases Loaded in the 3rd blowing the game open. Brae Howle moved to leadoff responded with 2 hits, 1 walk and 3 runs scored. Will Piet, Carter Dewees, JB all had 2 hits each. Sam Piet, Sam Smith, Reilly Burton, Adam Duckett and Clayton Rasmussen also joined the hit parade. Next up, Saturday at 3:30 to advance to TITLE.
