Celtics get Herndon and make the impossible 12/14/2010  6:33:01 AM

Two records were broken in the game versus Celtics vs Tar Heels.

Sam Herndon dribbled the ball over 1354 times. Breaking a 1956 record by Brooklyns YMCA on 45th street...

And the impossible became possible.  with 3/10ths of a second left in the game, a quick pass shoot score happened for 3 pts.  Yes, what physics have said are simply not true.  you can score a jump shot in 3/10ths of a second.  Everyone could have seen it on Monday night..Eli Gurner withhis qiuck hand shot pulled it off and still had a few hundreths of a second left on the clock

Dear Coaches, after further review, the play stands as called. Celtics hit the bucket in the nick of time and physics played a roll into the play, yes. The Celtics are simply that good. I watched it from the small window up in the Rec Office. What a pretty site.

Not to minimize the 3-point shot....It was pure nylon!!! My only rebuttle was that it is like a practice shot or any other shot taken between the official period of time. Warm up shots or a shot one would make in HORSE.

Acutally, there was 0.2 seconds left in the game!!! I am glad you pointed out the physics. Everyone that knows basketball appreciates that you can only tap a shot with under 0.3 seconds left. Game photographer Lockhart has a nice picture with 0.2 secs on the clock.

After discussion wtih both officials, the league commissionser I have decided to file an appeal with the SEC and NCAA committees of Oversight for games that are played for recreational purposes but have significant meaning.

Official score will be 34-31 and I have called Jason who changed it this morning for me pursuiant a small transaction fee.
