 The Great Silly String Battle has become a tradition at the World Series.  Tonight boys from all teams joined in the fun!  This is what baseball is about, making friends & memories.  This is a GREAT group of guys!  (Please don't grow up TOO fast!)

Tigers Win the Championship

 Congratulations to Coach Danny Brooks and his Tigers for winning the 2012 VHYB World Series tournament.  They played excellent baseball lead by Carter Gill on the mound.

Tigers vs Cardinals in the Championship Game!

 The Cardinals played a very defensive game against the Braves, beating them in a close one 6-4.

The Tigers and Phillies stayed close for a couple of innings, then the Tigers took off hitting the ball and making all of the defensive plays & schooled the Phillies, ending the game early with a ten run rule 14-4 in the 5th inning.

The Tigers and Cardinals have faced each other twice in the season, and it was a one point game each time, with the wins split between them.

 Game 3-5:30

The Braves face the Cardinals.  The Braves have turned it on!  If they can beat theTwins, they can beat anybody!  Do they have the pitching to carry them through the night?  Can they steal bases fast enough?

The Cardinals have had many ups and downs.  Will tonight be an up or a down?

Game 4-7:30

The Phillies face the Tigers.  This will be a good match up.  Who will the Tigers have subbing since Eston Hall is playing in the game before?  Do they have what it takes to win so big again?  Whose pitching will be the most effective?  Who will make the least errors, the biggest hits?

Day 2 of World Series

 Game 3 will be the #3 Phililes facing the #6 Rangers.  This match up is tied 1-1, with the Philies winning the last matchup.  Can they do it again?  or will the lower seed win again, like both teams on Monday?  Game time: 5:30

Game 4 is the #2 Tigers coming back to the #7 Yankees.  These teams have played twice this past week, with the Tigers winning 9-7 & 10-9...can they pull it off yet again?  Who will be playing for Brooks?  Both of these teams have what it takes to be a winning team, who will get the most hits and make the least errors?
